# What is the Pedagogical Quality Certification?

Pedagogical Quality certification (formerly EAF/Kokoa) was co-founded by Saila Juuti and Olli Vallo in 2015 and [acquired by EdTech Impact in December 2023](https://edtechimpact.com/knowledge-hub/education-alliance-finland-joins-forces-with-edtech-impact/). Over 300 learning products worldwide have been evaluated using the EAF method. 

The method brings together the Finnish pedagogical expertise from three sources:

1.  Finnish education research
2.  Learner's perception by teacher evaluators
3.  Expert’s view of the education and evaluation platform created by a Finnish company, Kokoa Agency.
